I could not have been any prouder or any happier than I was on Saturday the 28th when my sweetheart daughter was baptized into our Church!
When she first put on her white suit, she looked so beautiful and pure. It simply took my breath away!
I still remember moments from my baptism day. It is such a special and important day. I really hope Layla will cherish her memories and her precious feelings from this beautiful day and continue to strengthen her testimony throughout her life.

Baby Food
We finally Baby Bulleted today!
We got it as a gift from Daniel's mom, even before Dexter was born I think.
Layla and I attacked that project today. Took everything out of the box. Washed everything. Read the user's manual. Then proceeded to Bullet up some mango, then banana!
Dexter has eaten banana before, but it was nice that tonight he could have some for supper without choking on chunks.
It was pretty darn quick and easy to use, just like they say on tv! And cheaper! Wow!
Actually, so far I really do love it!
In other news, Dexter is crawling! Watch out world, here he comes!!!

Easter Dinner
We enjoyed a delicious turkey dinner tonight! This was only the second turkey I've ever made, but I'm getting more confident! My first was last Thanksgiving, boy was I nervous!
This Easter we had turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, green beans, homemade buns, cranberry jelly, from scratch pumpkin pie with Dream Whip and of course, a couple bottles of Martinelli's! The Mormon faux wine! Delish!
Daniel hid some Easter treats for Layla when she got home. Even Dexter got in on the action and enjoyed some watered down mashed potatoes and a couple tastes of cranberries!
Here are some pictured of our goofy family!
(not in chronological order, as I'm doing this on my iPhone and I can't figure out on here how to organize them properly, if anyone knows, I'd love some hints!)

Big Purchase
Check out what we bought yesterday!
I was so excited for this purchase! I wanted one so bad when Layla was little, but was never able to get one.
I had some free time up in Edmonton on Friday, so I started checking out a few stores for options and price. Wow! What a stressful purchase! Such a range in options and prices! I was sending pictures and prices to Daniel all afternoon, but I knew it wasn't enough to make such a big decision on my own.
Later that night was spent online looking up consumer reviews and other helpful information. Phew! Hours of work!
On Saturday, I knew I needed Daniel's opinion too and his go-ahead before making a final decision.
In the end, we chose one of the most expensive, but it's very fabulous! It was by far the most comfortable on us, as well as the most comfortable for Dexter. Also, very easy to adjust and a lot of adjustment options (important when switching from my barely adult size, to Daniel's normal adult size!). Lot's of cool storage options too!
We took it for a test drive when we got home, Dexter loved it!
So, if anyone's wondering, it an Osprey Poco Plus that we ended up choosing. We got it at Camper's Village. I should also comment, we received EXCEPTIONAL customer service there! Which I find is often rare in retail nowadays.
Overall: SO HAPPY!

The Beauty of an Ordinary Day
Today has been one of those beautiful, blessed days.
Nothing spectacularly good happened. But nothing terribly bad happened either. And yet, today has been one of the BEST days I've had in a long time.
I usually have really good days, but there was just something extra special about today. It had a sweet enchantment to it.
It snowed. It melted. Layla, Dexter and I stayed inside all day. I even had a couple clients. We spent the afternoon cleaning Layla's desktop.
Very ordinary. And yet, it was glorious. A day where you can feel the hand of the Lord in your daily interactions.
I wouldn't have changed it for anything. I am so thankful for His presence in our lives.
He knows us and is mindful.

Happy Wednesday
Here are a few things that made me happy today:
1. The daffodils I picked up yesterday are starting to open!
2. And little quiet time hanging out on the bed with the kids (and Tom-Tom) after Layla's friend went home after their sleep over.
3. I finally got a picture of Dexter's awesome shaggy waves! His hair is just getting over his ears now, and it drives me crazy with how adorable it is! And... Still a bald spot! Ha!

Success
I am so happy! Today I successfully surprised Daniel!
It had been a few weeks in the making and a lot of me trying to keep my mouth shut (I get toddler level excited when I'm planning a surprise for a loved one: as in, no filter).
I had told Daniel I had a client booked, so he would have to plan to be home for the kids. This morning, however, I sat beside him on the bed to wake him up (I was already up with Dexter), I leaned over to him and said:
"I lied to you."
Confused, groggy and I believe a little frustrated, he groaned until I said:
"You're supposed to be at the air terminal by 9:15."
It was so great! He quickly wore such a genuinely tickled smile, as he was processing what I was telling him.
He was going FLYING today!!!
I told him to get a picture.
He did not.
But he had fun, he was a natural, and he had the best, huge smile on his face when he got home!
So worth it!!!
Since he didn't take a picture, here's one that Layla took of Dexter today:
